Artist Bio:  Aaron R. Williams

Aaron R. Williams is a man of many talents.  He is a blacksmith, utilizing historical techniques from the nineteenth century to create both sculpture and craftwork, with a specialty in wrought iron.  Aaron is also a trained operatic bass, who can be heard singing in his studio.  He is also an accomplished martial artist and a certified scuba diver.  And if you’re ever on your way to Sturgis, you just might see him riding on his Harley.

Mr. Williams received his Bachelor of Arts Degree, with an emphasis in metal sculpture, at Colorado State University Pueblo.  Mr. Williams is steadily proving that he is an emerging artist with a unique and compelling vision.  He has had pieces exhibited at the Colorado State Fair and with the Pueblo Arts Guild.  He has also had several pieces on exhibition at CSU Pueblo’s Fine Arts Gallery.  He received an honorarium from CSU Pueblo for works presented there and two Honorable Mentions from the Pueblo Arts Guild.  His artwork has also been seen on the streets of Colorado Springs and Pueblo.

Mr. Williams most recent and just completed commission is a baptismal font railing with decorative copper insets repousse’ed with religious symbols relating to baptism.  This piece of artwork can be seen at The Shrine of St. Therese Church, in Pueblo, CO.
